Who we are
This website, katadesis.com, is run by Lewis Chard, author of The Katadesis Chronicles. You can contact us through the contact page.
What we collect and why
Contact form. When you send a message through the contact form we receive your name, your email address and the message you write. We use this only to reply to you. We delete enquiries after 6 months.
Spam filtering. Form submissions are checked for spam by the Akismet service, run by Automattic, which receives the submitted details and your IP address for that purpose.
Server logs. Our hosting provider, Hostinger, records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to keep the site secure and running.
Fonts. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google’s servers and Google receives your IP address.
Cookies and analytics
We do not use advertising cookies or analytics tracking on this site. No account or login is needed to read the site.
Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data. It is shared only with the service providers named above, so that the site and the contact form can work.
Your rights
You may ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you by contacting us. If you are in the UK you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time.
