Since 1795, twelve years after the Montgolfier brothers‘ historic balloon flight in Versailles—Attos airships have graced the skies, providing clandestine transport for Katadesis. Inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s ingenious sketches, the airships’ original design has undergone numerous transformations. Today, the fleet ranges from magnificent cruise ships to swift two-seater blimps.
Nestled on the northern edge of Katadesis, the landing station stands in the shadow of the workshops beneath The Tesla Station. For years, the airships’ ability to travel above the clouds has allowed them to glide undetected. However, the rapid development of aircraft is about to change this.
They are often mistaken for the less advanced Zeppelins, a popular means of travel among the wealthy. The first Zeppelins emerged in the early 1900s, revolutionising air travel for the affluent until the catastrophic Hindenburg disaster in 1937. In the coming decades, the evolution of powered flight will reshape the skies, with dramatic repercussions for the airships of Katadesis.
