For years, I have been fascinated by the ways digital technology allows storytellers to immerse readers more deeply into their worlds. When I began writing The Katadesis Chronicles, I knew the virtual world wouldn’t be an afterthought—it would be woven into the very fabric of the story. I wanted readers to move beyond passive observation, to interact, evolve, and shape their experience. With this in mind, I developed the book series alongside virtual worlds and interactive experiences, finding that each influenced the other—like twins with distinct identities yet an undeniable connection.
Where possible, my stories are grounded in fact. The Silk Road, the Medicis, Tesla, and the Voynich Manuscript all existed. Yet, like any storyteller, I have applied a degree of artistic license in service of the narrative. My goal has always been to merge the virtual and real, fact and fiction, crafting an alternative reality that feels both possible and compelling.
Please continue to enjoy your favourite books—curled up on a rainy afternoon or stretched out in the sun. That pure, imaginative escape is irreplaceable. But if you’d like to step a little further, join me in these virtual worlds, where you can shape your own experiences. Whatever your preference, I hope these books serve as both an entry point and a touchstone.
